Hello Class of 1979!
I had such a good time at our 40th Hight School reunion and I thank each of you for attending and supporting our event!
I wanted you who are not on Fecebook and might not be aware to know that the band Airhead, who played at our reunion, will be playing again this Friday night at the VFW on Edgewater Drive starting at 9:00 pm.
Please consider coming out and supporting the band and hanging out with your classmates to enjoy the great music and dancing! There is a $10.00 cover charge for the band's expensives and then a cash bar for drinks.

Sincere thanks to Kathy, Shannon, Kelly, Waymon, Mike and everyone else who worked to plan the reunion! My wife and I had a wonderful time and it was great seeing everyone and reminiscing. We know that events like this don't just happen, and recognize the planning, time and effort that it takes. It is officially August and the reunion weekend is now upon us!!!
I have been asked by a few about the attire for Saturday night. Of course, comfort is the most important thing, and you can wear anything you want because the dress code police will not be there ( that I know of ), but we are calling the attire "Casual Cocktail". You can interpret that however you choose, but for reference, I am wearing a dress and VERY low heels. My husband has no idea what he is wearing, but I think he will wear semi dress pants and a polo or button down. Oh, and yes, the Heidrich center aka "The Dome" is now air-conditioned, so we will not be sweating like we did during Pep Rally's! 😃
I will be posting a little later about details for our Friday night get together so stay tuned!
Thanks to those of you who have posted on this board to RSVP for the brunch on Sunday at Waymon's house. I will be talking to Waymon's wife Frances soon and would love to be able to at least give her an early estimate of how many people will be attending, sp PLEASE keep the RSVP's coming!!
Thanks again and I hope we will continue hearing from those who have not registered or signed up for the reunion. Please share the website info to anyone you can contact who has not signed up and may not know about the reunion.

I'll be there Saturday night for the reunion. And my husband and I will come together to the brunch Sunday morning -- with donation in hand!
Dontaed to Rose's fund, great idea by the way. I have also securd some water crats for us to use to hang out on lake from the Lake Fairview Marina , my treat. They will be bringing them over to Waymon's house for use.
I will be having a chartered pontoon boat and other water craft for use brought to Waymon's house for brunch for us to hang on lake. My treat, see you all soon.

I went to most major reunions even though I lived up north then.....I do not see lots of our clasmates in the website...too bad.

I have just recently moved back to FL. The 1st of April to be exact, and have only bought a house 1 month ago. So there is still unpacking and settling going on.
My plans have changed and I will be there Saturday and brunch Sunday. Great thanks to the organizing committee and Waymon.
Unfortunately I'm traveling Sat/Sun.

I plan to attend both Friday Reunion as well as Brunch. Although I only
attended 9th gr @ BMHS I figured I would know a few people as I was unable to make my Palos Verdes reunion in LA due to my son's wedding in Hawaii.

I regret having to retract my RSVP for the brunch. My son William is coming home from Net Ministries for a few days and that is the only day we could go together to visit his grandparents.
Of interest, he has been involved with Net Ministries (in St. Paul, MN) for the last two years and has signed up for a third. They are a Catholic organization that develops and operates dynamic events for youth groups, and also sends teams of young adults to parishes to work with youth there. He loves it and it is a great organization. Check it out!
Meanwhile, I'll see you all at the Saturday night reunion. Looks like we're going to have a great turnout!

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Irish Bar Friday eve and the gathering Saturday, unfortunately will not be able to attend Waymans gathering Sunday to jump off the second floor in to his pool:-( Safe Travels!!
Laurie and I both will be unable to attend the brunch as neither of us can get out of work. Sorry about the last minute change.

Many thanks to all the key people who planned the Saturday night reunion! The food was extra good. The piped-in music was the best of all the reunions. The decorations and party favors throughfully And the live band featuring classmates was a real treat -- and reminiscent of all the dances we used to have under the gym dome with that geometric ceiling sending the sound everywhere! I loved catching up and swapping hugs with as many of you as possible. I remember every face, if not every name. God bless you all!
